Destination Analysis

The typical contents of a destination analysis will be a short appraisal of the country’s recent history, followed by an analysis of its current political and macro-economic situation, trade- and investment climate, foreign policy orientation, and those external and internal security threats which must be taken in to consideration.

It will, for example, examine issues such as the extent of crime and violence, corruption and human rights abuses, and the level of activity by terrorists or other belligerent groups.

A destination analysis can be produced either as concise review or as a more in-depth report. Depending on the client’s needs, the information may also be limited to a designated geographical area within the country in question. See also Early Warning System
